EVENT BRANDING FOR ANNUAL BURNS SUPPER CELEBRATION

In January 2021, the annual Burns Supper celebration moved online and brought with it the challenges of client engagement and translating designs for use with new online events software.

A contemporary take on Burns was created with a modern tartan; colourful and multi-layered with a nod to Burns’s writing in the use of a calligraphic script scroll. The branding was implemented across the online Event management software Cvent and Crowd Comms. Email communications and online marketing material were created to promote the events along with a gift box and printed tasting notes. These were sent out to clients across the UK and Europe. The event generated positive feedback and was well attended.

In 2020 the Burns Night celebrations were a grand affair held at the Wallace Collection in London.

Custom lighting effects were designed in collaboration with a specialist lighting company, using the thistle motif to create the appearance of sumptuous flock wallpaper and add to the opulent surroundings.

For the presentations, both the hero image thistle and Burns 2020 logo were animated to bring the event to life. Positive feedback and complements on the event experience were received on the night.
